Why Buy A Deep Fryer for your kitchen?

How to Choose a Deep Fryer?

With many options to choose the perfect deep fryer for you, buying a deep fryer is easier than ever. Deep fryers are easy to use and provide fast, delicious food every time. From homemade French fries to deep fried chicken, the menu options are not as limited as some would have you choose. Also, depending on the type of cooking oil you choose, deep fried food does not have to be as unhealthy as it was once believed.

Buying Your Deep Fryer

Ranging in price from under sixty dollars to over three-thousand, it can be hard to decide which deep fryer is the right fit for you needs. While it would seem the less expensive models offer less in terms of options, that usually is not the case. It is important to make sure you look at the options a particular model offers without focusing on the price initially. The important thing in the beginning is to decide on what you want and find a deep fryer that fits your price range.

Options to consider

The three most popular options are deep fryers with an adjustable thermostat, a filtration system or a view window. None of these things is a necessity, but depending on your deep frying needs may be something you want to opt in to.

The adjustable thermostat is a simple function that controls the temperature of your deep fryer. Although this is only an option and not necessary, many choose to opt for it because it gives more control over cooking time.

A filtration system is great for someone concerned about what is in their food by filtering the cooking oil and allowing you to get more use out of your oil. The filter removes particles of food from previous uses you may not be able to see and therefore extends the usability of the oil.

Another handy option you may want to consider is choosing a deep fryer with a view window. The view window allows you to see inside the deep fryer as you cook your food. This is great if you know how you like your food to look when it’s done. For example, if you like your French fries a golden, crispy brown, you’re able to see when the potato slices are at that stage so you don’t overcook them.

You can choose a deep fryer that comes with a timer or alarm to let you know when your desired cook time is up or even with ventilators to reduce the odors produced when deep frying.

Fire Risks

Although in the past deep fryers have posed fire hazards, there have been great steps taken to reduce those risks so that deep fryers are really no more dangerous that normal frying methods. If turned on by accident or if not enough oil is used when cooking – two of the most common causes of deep fryer related fires – and the deep fryer overheats, most modern fryers have mechanisms that automatically cut power and allow the machine to cool when it gets too hot.
