Funniest. Post. Ever. =)
no shit your knives are dull u are sticking them in the dirt
everytime you put your knifes in the ground i cringed !
@Auszie
Tungsten carbide sharpeners can do that.
You said that little Lansky had ceramic blades for a rough finish and ceramic rods to get a fine edge. Did you mean tungsten carbide on one side and ceramic on the other? That looks like the Quick Fix pocket sharpener I was just looking at on the knifecenter website.
@GearBuyersGuide
lolo yes it does or yes it doesnt work..? theres more to my statement..
if i had said ‘this sharpener is good right?’ then you can add “yes”.
@mercanaries3
yes
@GearBuyersGuide
does this sharpener actually work or does it suck ?
@mercanaries3
Because we were filming a knife video…
do you hunt people for a living why the hell does your bag contain like 100 knives..
@GearBuyersGuide
I haven’t seen it in years but you can look it up on google.com
@4770589
Is that a Segal movie? Which knife?
one of your knives is in the movie “shoot to kill”
nice vid lots of Knife Sharpener out there hard to know what you need
@bradenjames Quite sure a cheap Chinese throwing knife, I bet it doesn’t have any brand, aside “stainless” or similar. You can purchase one everywhere, bad steel but inexpensive enough to be damaged at throwing
get your knifes out of the dirt dude!
@bradenjames
No idea, just an old knife we had around for the test
Whats the name of the knife with the five holes in the handle? Its in the background at 2:28 , also is it double edged?
so in the end I’m guessing the benchmade comes out on top I’m just gonna run with that
your best knife on there is that OLD TIMERS …. iv had the same knife for 17 years …..
DO NOT USE THE SMITH (YELLOW “SHARPENER”) FOR SHARPENING YOUR BLADES! My step dad bought one of those and it DESTROYED one of our blades beyond recognition! It left nothing but gouges and nicks! If you already have one, just keep it for the ceramic rods and NEVER use the other end of it on ANY blade you want to use again! Stick with the AccuSharp for the actual sharpening, and again, ONLY use the Smith for the Honing finish on the Ceramic end!
thanks for the feedback
we’ll check out the vulkanus sharpener
Theblade grind also affects how you can sharpen them by pull sharpener. i can sharpen my chisel grind blades by watching the angle i hold it at, it can be done. i prefer my accusharp because the slabs can be flipped and replaced. i find it helps to put my thumb along the top pointed up for stability similar to a saber fencing grip. i’m glad you went over how they work on polymer blades. you guys have slash proof gloves, nice. I noticed you guys didn’t have a vulkanus sharpener. excellent vid.
